American Horticultural Therapy Association (www.ahta.org) Assistance for gardeners with disabilities. Information on reducing gardening injuries to the elderly.

American Association of Retired Persons (www.aarp.org) Travel, leisure and fun for seniors during the transition from the working years to retirement years.

Elderhostel (www.elderhostel.org) Low-cost opportunities for those 55 years of age to travel and attend educational programs on college campuses while using dormitory and cafeteria facilities.

Friends of the Rutgers University Libraries (www.libraries.rutgers.edu/rul/friends/friends.shtml) As a Friend, you will be invited to attend lectures, exhibits, receptions and workshops not available to the general public -- and you will receive a newsletter.

www.UniversityOutingClub.org   Founded in1931, the University Outing Club offers outings throughout New Jersey such as hikes, garden walks, historic city tours and canoeing. They have two dinners each year with speakers of interest, and they publish a newsletter three times a year. The club is affiliated with the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference and does trail clearing at Six Mile Run in Franklin Township, NJ.
